Student volunteers hold free medical camps for Buner flood affectees

BUNER, August 25: In a continued effort to support communities affected by recent flooding, student volunteers of a welfare organization successfully conducted two separate free medical camps in flood-hit areas of Buner district.
The first camp was held at Batai Road, Pir Baba, where a total of 608 patients received medical attention – including 367 female patients, 230 children and 109 male patients. A total of 67 ultrasounds were conducted on-site.
The second camp, organized in Sharif Kaly, Pir Baba, catered to 444 patients – including 175 females, 159 children and 110 males.
The free medical camps were organized by the volunteers of Helping Humanity Organization under its free health facilities initiative.
The HHO medical teams and volunteers not only offered free consultations and medications to the flood affectees, but also delivered ultrasound services, health and hygiene awareness sessions, and distribution of essential relief items and clothes to those in need.
In addition, HHO extended support to the flood relief efforts by providing essential medicines to a 24/7 medical camp in the worst-hit Beshonai village, already being operated by another humanitarian organization.
The HHO volunteers extended heartfelt gratitude to its dedicated doctors and supporters, and acknowledged the cooperation of the local communities that made this initiative a success.
