According to reports, a six-axle vehicle had got stuck on the south side of Lowari Tunnel due to snowfall in Upper Dir, which had blocked the road.

Murshid Amin Khattak said that the heavy vehicle was pulled out of the snow at Manna Khawar on emergency basis and the NHA staff sent the vehicle back on the road to Dir Khas. He said that recent heavy snowfall at the southern and northern routes of the Lowari Tunnel also affected the traffic flow.

He urged travelers and tourists not to make unnecessary trips to Chitral and Upper Dir in bad weather. He said that the NHA is always striving to keep its road network open for traffic and providing the best facilities to road users. – Agencies
