Pakistani mangoes become center of attraction at China-Eurasia expo

BEIJING: Products from all around the world shined at the 2023 (China) Eurasia Commodity and Trade Expo held in Xinjiang, China, attracting a great number of customers.

Pakitani mangoes outstood among these commodities due to their unique flavor. The mango varieties from Pakistan such as Sindhri, Chaunsa, Anwar Ratol and so on caught the eye of visitors to the trade expo.

According to media reports, this year 12 suppliers with 30 tons of mangoes from Pakistan joined the expo to carve out a niche in Xinjiang and even a larger area.

Scheduled from August 17 to 21, the five-day event kicked off in Urumqi, the capital city of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China, with a focus on trade promotion.

It is worth mentioning that the Pakistan Mango Festival is held from August 17 to 21 as a side exhibit of the expo.

“Top Pakistani mango exporters are displaying different varieties of mango such as Sindhri, Chaunsa, and Anwar Ratol, among others,” Commercial Counsellor, Pakistan Embassy, Beijing, Ghulam Qadir said.

He believed, “The event is not only a treat for the taste buds but also symbolizes the strength of cultural exchanges and economic partnerships.”

Ghulam Qadir remarked, “Pakistani mangoes hold a special place in Pakistan’s agricultural landscape and cultural fabric. They are renowned for their delectable taste and exquisite aroma, capturing the hearts of fruit enthusiasts globally.”

About other Pakistani products, he said, “Visitors to the festival could explore stalls showcasing various Pakistani products, textiles, handicrafts, and more. This cultural exchange bridges gaps, facilitating cultural diplomacy and fostering relationships built on mutual respect and curiosity.”

Themed “Promoting the Silk Road Spirit, Strengthening Eurasian Cooperation”, this year’s expo covers an exhibition area of 70,000 square meters and attracted over 1,300 businesses from 40 countries and regions, including 25 of the world’s top 500 companies, according to the organizers of the event.- news agencies / web desk
